IFG US is partnering with a fantastic organization in the western suburbs of Chicago on an Accounting Manager position. Reporting to a Senior Manager, this role will manage a team of 4 Accountants and be mainly responsible for the revenue accounts. This is a high exposure role throughout the organization. Not only are you working with high caliber colleagues, but there is tremendous opportunities for vertical career advancement.

 

They are hybrid Tues – Thurs in the office each week, with the close week (1st 7 days of each month), done fully remote!

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for 2 of their largest key accounting estimates (unbilled revenues and bad debt reserves) as well as accounting for the acquisition of energy and renewable energy credits.
  • Oversee the writing of memos, will approve journal entries and account reconciliations, and will ensure that key financial controls are operating effectively.
  • Work closely with their business partners in finance, billing, IT and credit/collections departments.
  • Gets involved in ad hoc projects, including billing system validation and preparing for new general ledger system in 2026.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Master's degree and/or CPA is highly preferred
  • 7+ years in accounting, financial reporting or related field.
  • Public Accounting and/or large public company accounting experience required.
  • Experience with Financial Statement Consolidations and/or Derivative Accounting is a plus.
  • People management experience required.
