IFG's client, a SaaS company located in downtown Chicago, is looking for a Global Controller to join the team.
Reporting to the CAO, the Global Controller will be responsible for global accounting, consolidated financials, policies and controls. Prior multinational experience is required for this position.
Responsibilities
- Manage monthly, quarterly and year-end closing and reporting processes
- Point person for the annual external audit
- Maintain accounting, financial reporting, financial control, and information systems to ensure strong records, appropriate authorizations of transactions, and safeguarding of assets
- Contribute to process improvements and automation to create efficiencies
- Establish systems of internal controls, including monitoring and revising them accordingly
- Develop, prepare and communicate global accounting policies and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and CPA certification
- 10+ yrs of experience with a combination of public accounting and multinational industry experience at a publicly-traded company
- SaaS industry experience
- Experience building accounting teams and processes
- Work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Multitask and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Strong systems/technology experience
