IFG is partnering with an organization in Chicago looking to add a new member of their team, a Director of Financial Reporting. The keys for this role is someone that 1) at the Director level, or at the Senior Manager looking for a promotional opportunity, 2) has a very strong technical accounting background, 3) has previous people management experience, and 4) has their CPA. The fixed assets experience isn't required. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage/Lead the team in the quarter-end and year-end close reporting processes, ensuring the timely completion of all financial reporting activities, including lender and management reporting.
  • Manage/oversee the preparation, review, and timely delivery of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage the preparation of consolidated financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, and supporting schedules.
  • Be the leader of the company’s fixed assets, including asset capitalization, depreciation, and impairment.
  • Establish policies and procedures for the accurate tracking, recording, and reporting of fixed assets.

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA required
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, accounting, or fixed asset management
  • 5+ years in a managerial or leadership role
  • Combination of public accounting and industry preferred
