IFG US is partnering with an organization in the northwest suburbs looking for an Accounting Manager. Reporting to the Business Unit Controller, this role will oversee and support two of the companies business units, managing a team of 3 Accountants. They need someone who can learn this business quickly, and someone who can also implement change. The role will manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for the business unit, implement process improvements, business partner, and ad-hoc analysis.
The ideal candidate is someone that has a combination of public accounting and corporate accounting (within manufacturing) experience, along with their CPA. Additionally, someone that has current and/or previous management experience.
They are onsite 5 days a week, with 2 working days a month to work at home.
Compensation is market with an annual bonus.
Lastly, there will be travel of 20-25% during the initial 90 days onboarding period. Approximately 1 week a month to the facility to learn the business, meet the employees, and find ways to improve the cost efficiency and operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) strongly preferred.
- 7+ years' progressive accounting experience; preferably with public accounting and corporate accounting experience.
- Manufacturing operations background strongly preferred.
- NetSuite strongly preferred.
- Prior people management experience required.
