Job Title: Interim Brand Manager (consultant)
Job Location: Chicago, IL (downtown Chicago Loop near Union Station)
Compensation: Pay Rate: $50/hour – $62.50/hour (8 hours maximum – no overtime)
Work Environment: Hybrid (2-3 days in the office per week; remaining days work from home)
Interviews: Start the week of September 15, 2025 (1 virtual interview, 1 in-person interview [including case study at office])
Start Date: Tuesday, September 22
End Date (initial): Friday, March 24 (extensions possible, conversion possible)
Experiences and skills requirements:
- 7 to 10 years FMCG experience
- Proven Brand Management background (in decision making roles)
- Ability to understand the market with both the trade and the consumer lenses
- [preferred] Sales or trade/shopper marketing previous experience
- Entrepreneurial mindset and “can do” attitude
- Analytical & Strategic thinking
- Experience working in a lean structure with the ability to lead and implement a cross functional team
- Ability to cope with uncertainty and embrace change
- Line management experience
- [nice to have] Ability to work in a matrix environment
- [nice to have] Background with International HQ
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver branded programs including brand restage, brand repositioning, brand comms and NPD pipeline development & delivery
- Lead and implement budget and 3y plan
- Internal and external stakeholders (IAT) management
- Monitoring of brand performance and definition of action plans as required
- Management of marketing budget for branded portfolio
- Management of one team member
