Overview
The Corporate Accounting Manager assists in the preparation of financial statements and ensures compliance with accounting standards. In addition, this role provides direction on policies, procedures, and continuous improvement objectives as they relate to financial reporting. This role will have direct relationships with the following parties: Executive leadership, Finance management, Regional and Station management.
In this role, the Corporate Accounting Manager will develop the organization’s accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives and advise leadership of potential changes in accounting regulations or practices that may impact global operations and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Oversee financial month close procedures.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reporting.
- Act as primary contact with external auditors and oversee the completion of all PBC requests.
- Review work performed by staff and provide guidance on more complex transactions.
- Distribute and review preliminary and final station financial statements with station managers.
- Assure timely and accurate reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Govern accounting policies to ensure they stay current.
- Performs other duties as assigned

- The wage range for this position is $84,806.30 to $134,333.32 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, business administration with an emphasis in Accounting, or a related field (Required)
- Master’s Degree in accounting, finance, business administration with an emphasis in Accounting, or a related field (Preferred)
Experience
- 5+ years experience in general accounting (Required)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills – High
- Must have the ability to analyze numbers and draw logical conclusions – High
- Must have strong technical accounting background – Medium
- Multi-entity, international consolidation experience a plus – Medium
- Solid financial management skills including monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and a commercial sense of business – High
- Strong work ethic, self-motivated work style attention to detail and enjoy a dynamic environment with new challenges and changing work priorities – High
- Freight industry experience a plus – Low
- OneStream and CargoWise experience a plus – Low
Licenses and Certifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) – (Required)
