Accountant

Location: Lincolnwood, IL Type: Direct Hire Job #28706 Salary: $70,000 IFG US is partnering with a growing organization seeking an Accountant to support daily accounting operations and financial processes.   This role will be responsible for accounts payable, month-end accounting activities, reconciliations, vendor documentation, and supporting project-related accounting functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate and timely payments. Prepare month-end journal entries and assist with the monthly close process. Perform bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations. Review and process employee expense reimbursements. Manage and track Field Change Orders (FCOs), including documentation, approvals, and accounting accuracy. Maintain vendor records and ensure required insurance Certificates of Insurance (COIs) are current. Assist with project-related accounting activities and reporting. Research and resolve discrepancies in financial records. Maintain organized accounting documentation and support audit requests. Assist with process improvements and accounting system initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Associate's degree with relevant accounting experience will be considered. 2+ years of accounting experience preferred. Experience with: Accounts Payable Journal entries Month-end close Account reconciliations Expense reimbursements Vendor management Construction, remodeling, real estate, or project-based accounting experience is a plus. Experience with Sage or similar accounting software preferred. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments. Preferred Skills Experience working with contractors, vendors, or project teams. Senior Accountant

Location: Lincolnwood, IL Type: Direct Hire Job #28705 Salary: $90,000 IFG US is partnering with a growing organization who is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support daily accounting operations and financial reporting.   This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing month-end close activities, performing reconciliations, and supporting process improvements, including an upcoming transition to a cloud-based accounting platform. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Manage month-end close processes, including preparation and posting of journal entries. Perform general ledger, bank, and balance sheet reconciliations. Calculate, review, and reconcile commission payments. Process payroll and related accounting activities. Post cash receipts and perform cash analysis. Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation. Investigate discrepancies and resolve accounting issues. Assist with financial reporting and audit support. Support accounting system improvements and ERP implementation initiatives. Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and efficiencies. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong experience with: Month-end close Journal entries Account reconciliations Payroll accounting Commission calculations Cash posting and analysis Experience with Sage or similar accounting software; experience with Sage Intacct is a plus. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across departments. Preferred Qualifications Experience with ERP system conversions or implementations.
