Vice President Finance
Location: Rockford, IL Type: Direct Hire Job #28407 Salary: $225,000 IFG US is partnering with a non-profit organization in Chicago looking for a VP Finance. Reporting to the CFO, this role will have approximately 20 direct reports and manage the accounting and finance functions. The CFO will be looking for candidates out of non-profit with grant accounting experience. Medicare and Medicaid would be an added bonus! There is a direct path to promotion to CFO within the next 5-7 years! Responsibilities Oversee all accounting and finance responsibilities for the company, including the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process to deliver timely, accurate, and relevant GAAP financial statements and related analysis for all programs and properties. Analyze monthly financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings. Review current financial and operational processes, and make recommendations on improvements, creating better controls, higher levels of automation, and more efficiency for the tasks being performed by the finance team. Ensure that the company's financial systems are efficient, reliable, user friendly and cost effective. Create new and improved systems and processes that maximize current technological resources to meet operational and business needs. Provide direction to the finance team, establishing goals and performance metrics while fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. Advise company leadership on financial planning, budgeting, and financial risks. Assist with the development and monitoring of the annual budget. Requirements Bachelor’s and Master's degree in Accounting, Business or a related field required. CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license required Extensive accounting experience in non-profit organizations, preferably within the healthcare industry strongly preferred.
