Senior Accountant

Location: Rockford, IL Type: Direct Hire Job #28337 Salary: $105,000 IFG US’s client is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing comprehensive accounting processes and systems, including preparing journal entries, managing cash flow, supporting budgeting and forecasting efforts, invoicing customers, and conducting account and bank reconciliations. This role involves preparing financial reports, analyzing trends, explaining variances, presenting reports, and making recommendations based on results. Compensation: Up to $97,000 without a CPA; Up to $105,000 with a CPA Essential Responsibilities: Prepare GAAP-compliant journal entries, manage cash flow activities, and conduct monthly bank reconciliations. Complete account reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and integrity in financial records. Prepare monthly financial statements, reports, and program financials to support appropriate revenue recognition. Analyze financial information, present insights to leadership, and make recommendations based on trends. Generate and review customer invoices, including grant-related invoicing as required. Support the budgeting process and assist with financial planning and analysis. Contribute to cash flow management and financial forecasting activities. Measure and report financial metrics to support decision-making and organizational goals. Compile audit schedules and prepare for year-end closeout to ensure compliance and audit readiness. Participate in team projects, lead financial initiatives, and provide support across the finance team. Engage in continuing education to maintain expertise in GAAP, industry best practices, and relevant systems.
