Senior Accountant
Location: Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois Type: Direct Hire Job #28507 Salary: $90,000 IFG US is partnering with a real estate development company looking to hire for a Senior Accountant role. Reporting to the SVP/Controller, the Senior Accountant is responsible in creating accurate and timely financial reporting and records for various portfolio properties and real estate funds. Essential Duties Responsibility of month-end and year-end close activities Preparation of property and fund level consolidated Income Statements, Balance Sheets, account reconciliations, variance analysis and all supporting schedules Manage accounts payable process for approval and entry of invoices Review and understand depreciation/amortization schedules as well as fixed asset roll-forward schedules Manage property and fund level cash balances Prepare bank account reconciliations Prepare monthly rent statements Apply rent payments and coordinate required follow up with property managers Prepare intercompany reimbursement invoices Assist with annual budgets Contribute to year-end audit report completion and various tax filings Involvement in special projects and perform ad-hoc analyses as deemed necessary Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree with accounting or finance major required Three to five years of real estate accounting experience Software experience in Yardi is a plus Apply Now
