IFG US is partnering with a growing organization who is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support daily accounting operations and financial reporting.
This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing month-end close activities, performing reconciliations, and supporting process improvements, including an upcoming transition to a cloud-based accounting platform.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage month-end close processes, including preparation and posting of journal entries.
- Perform general ledger, bank, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Calculate, review, and reconcile commission payments.
- Process payroll and related accounting activities.
- Post cash receipts and perform cash analysis.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Investigate discrepancies and resolve accounting issues.
- Assist with financial reporting and audit support.
- Support accounting system improvements and ERP implementation initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and efficiencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong experience with:
- Month-end close
- Journal entries
- Account reconciliations
- Payroll accounting
- Commission calculations
- Cash posting and analysis
- Experience with Sage or similar accounting software; experience with Sage Intacct is a plus.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across departments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERP system conversions or implementations.
- Experience in construction, remodeling, manufacturing, or other project-based industries.
