IFG is partnering with a family office in the northern suburbs of Chicago looking for a Senior Accountant. This is not your typical role within a corporate setting because this role will get you involved in all aspects of the business including monthly accounting close, budgeting/forecasting, financial reporting, acquisitions, and more. The role reports to the CFO so nobody better to learn from for mentorship and development purposes. You will for sure have a seat at the table!
They are 5 days onsite to make sure you are side by side with the CFO and other leaders within the company.
Compensation is $85K – $95K base.
Responsibilities
- Monthly Financial close and reporting related to all investments.
- Bank account reconciliations.
- Real Estate Investment support – preparation of financial statements.
- Payroll for Family office.
- Taxes: Gather all information needed for annual tax filings for all Entities and Family Trusts.
- Coordinate and prepare all documents required for the Annual Audit.
- Businesses are audited individually and lead person on each is the respective Business Controllers.
- Annual Budgeting
- Participate with budgets for the operating businesses as needed.
- Manage related party loans.
- Cash Management and Treasury duties for Family Office and the Operating Businesses.
- Assist with various reporting and project related tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- 7+ years' of professional accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
- CPA preferred
- QuickBooks preferred
