IFG US is partnering with a fantastic organization in the western suburbs, looking for a Senior Accountant. This is a great role to learn their new financial system and help support many areas of accounting, including regulatory accounting, revenue accounting, plant / projects accounting, and general accounting as they prepare for the implementation of a new financial system. This role will provide support where needed to help the team prepare for performing their monthly close and reporting responsibilities (preparing journal entries and account reconciliations) in the new system.
This role will report to a Manager fully dedicated to the implementation of the new financial system. Once the new system is implemented, this role will transition to a close the books role.
This role is hybrid coming into the office Tues, Wed and Thurs every week outside of the close week (first 7 business days).
Compensation range is $95K – $110K + 15% bonus!
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- Master's degree and/or CPA highly preferred
- 4-7 years of related experience, within public accounting or in a large corporation.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge and understanding of Accounting theory, principles, practices and regulations including FASB/GAAP and SOX compliance
