IFG-US is partnering with a client to identify a proactive, team-oriented Staff Accountant to join their growing accounting team. Location: Northwest Chicago suburbs
Schedule: Primarily onsite (5 days/week) with occasional work-from-home flexibility
Compensation: $55K–$70K base salary + potential bonus
Position Overview:
This role supports core accounting functions, with a focus on inventory accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, financial package preparation, and various ad hoc tasks. Leverage your accounting expertise to influence, streamline processes, implement improvements, and lead proactively with transparency, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration across business lines.
Essential Duties:
- Timely and accurately complete all assigned tasks necessary for the general ledger close at each month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting cycle
- Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions
- Review financial reports and prepare analyses
- Timely preparation of assigned balance sheet account reconciliations
- Assists in reconciliation of monthly inventories
- Assistance with various financial reporting deliverables
- Analyze business trends and communicate with product managers and other leaders regarding the company’s financial performance.
- Timely completion of ad-hoc project work, as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, internal audit, FP&A, or a related area
- Strong understanding of US GAAP
- CPA designation or CPA-track preferred
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with NetSuite and/or Coupa is a plus
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
