IFG US is partnering with a global financial services company looking for a Corporate Staff or Senior Accountant, depending on level of experience. The ideal candidate has a mix of public accounting and corporate accounting with a CPA.
This is a great opportunity for someone that is looking for a global company with lots of room for promotional opportunities and getting involved with a company with future goals to become a publicly traded company.
They operate in a hybrid model of three days a week in the office.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations; identify and document process gaps, report issues, and recommend appropriate remediation actions.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance the accounting and corporate policies to ensure they remain accurate, effective, and up to date.
- Advise and support finance and accounting teams in establishing and maintaining a strong, mature, and reliable system of internal controls over financial reporting.
- Manage and strengthen the corporate accounting team’s account reconciliation processes and inventory.
- Collaborate directly with the external audit firm throughout the annual financial audit process.
- Oversee payroll accounting activities and assist with reconciling the general ledger to Workday source data.
- Support monthly financial close activities and complete related responsibilities as needed.
- Collaborate and communicate directly with corporate and regional finance and accounting leadership in a highly visible role.
- Provide ad hoc support to the accounting, finance, and M&A teams on special projects and other business needs as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 2+ years of progressive experience in audit or accounting, preferably within public accounting and/or in a global company.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) strongly preferred
- Experience with Oracle Fusion, Hyperion, Smart View, Business Intelligence, Workday, ADP, CoStar, Blackline, or other account reconciliation software is a plus.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent projects both in a group and independently.
- Desire to implement automated and technological solutions to accounting processes
