Staff Accountant
Location: Chicago, IL Type: Direct Hire Job #28498 Salary: $75,000 Per Hour POSITION OVERVIEW Title: Staff Accountant ($70,000 – $80,000 + Bonus) Reports to: Corporate Controller Location: In-Office | Chicago, IL POSITION SUMMARY The Staff Accountant is responsible for a broad range of general accounting functions. This role will focus on monthly close, journal entries, account reconciliations, fixed asset tracking, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has strong technical accounting and analytical skills. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Take ownership of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparation and posting of journal entries and preparation of financial statements. Reporting to the VP Finance with a dotted line to the CFO, this role will be mainly responsible for the monthly, quarterly, and yearly close process including the preparation of journal entries, cash management, budgeting/forecasting, customer invoicing, and account recs.
