Project Accountant

This role partners closely with project teams and internal stakeholders to maintain accurate project financials, support reporting and forecasting efforts, and ensure efficient accounting processes across multiple active projects. Key Responsibilities Monitor project budgets, costs, financial performance, and overall project accounting activities. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Construction Management, or a related field preferred. Two or more years of accounting, project accounting, or related experience preferred. Experience supporting construction projects or project-based organizations preferred. Familiarity with project costing, billing processes, contract administration, and financial reporting. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems. Bookkeeper

Location: St Charles, IL Type: Direct Hire Job #28727 Salary: $80,000 Position Summary The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of a fast-growing organization. This role manages accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, bank reconciliations, vendor documentation, and project-related accounting records while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Accounts Payable Process vendor invoices accurately and timely. Match invoices to purchase orders and subcontract agreements. Track retainage and subcontractor payments. Verify lien waivers, certificates of insurance, and required vendor documentation. Prepare weekly check runs and electronic payments. Location: St Charles, IL Type: Direct Hire Job #28726 Salary: $110,000 Position Summary The Controller is responsible for managing all financial and accounting operations of a fast growing organization. This position oversees financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, job costing, payroll oversight, compliance, and internal controls. The Controller serves as a strategic business partner to ownership by providing financial analysis and recommendations that support profitability, growth, and operational efficiency. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Direct and manage all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll oversight, fixed assets, and banking relationships. Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Monitor company cash flow and liquidity requirements. Develop and maintain annual budgets and financial forecasts. Analyze financial performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Oversee construction job costing and project profitability analysis. Review work-in-progress (WIP) schedules and percentage-of-completion reporting. Track project costs, change orders, subcontractor payments, and retainage. Review project budgets and collaborate with project managers regarding cost performance. Ensure proper revenue recognition for construction contracts.
